Rehoming Story Bramble

Where to start with Bramble?!

We got Bramble just over a year ago and what a journey it has been!

She was instantly good with our other dog Copper and amazingly chilled with our daughters.

We had never had a dog so guarded with food though so this took some support from Vicky and some rearranging to allow her to eat on her own. But literally feeding her in a room on her own and taking both her and Copper’s bowls away was enough to reassure her and we have gradually been able to leave bowls down.

She definitely thought the cats were food, so we did very slow introductions and it was a long time before we fully trusted her with them but now we find them cuddled up on the bed together!

We struggled to get her to settled the first few days but again Vicky was supportive and we went right back to puppy stage and used the crate which worked wonders, it gave her a safe space to relax until she got used to us all.

We’ve still got things to work on but she’s an amazing dog and completely adored

For us, there’s nothing better than seeing how much she has come on and seeing her sprawled on the sofa so at home!
