Beautiful boy Innes is looking for his forever family.

Innes is a handsome 22 month old Golden Retriever who loves people and other dogs.

Innes loves other dogs and has lived with other Golden Retrievers previously however we think he would be best as an only dog. He has had no experience with cats.

He would love to have his own, private garden where he can burn off some energy and enjoy time playing with his toys. He is good with travelling in the car. Although he can be reluctant to get in to begin with.

Innes is good on the lead. He is responsive to commands but gets very excited when out meeting new friends. In the house he is calm and just wants cuddles.

He hasn’t been used to being left but does love company and attention. In the kennels he has ripped his bedding so he may need someone who is around most of the time to help him settle when being left on his own.

Innes has snapped before, when he had been rehomed previously (before coming into DAWGS care.) We have not witnessed any aggressive behaviour from him whilst being with us and he has been working with a trainer who has said he is one of the smartest dogs he has ever had the pleasure to work with. We have concluded that it was possibly just the stress and upset of the situation and possibly some resource guarding however, this has to be considered by any adoptee that applies. Due to this we feel an adult home would be best suited but may consider older, dog savvy children.
