Beautiful little Anca is looking for her forever home.

Anca is an extremely affectionate girl and loves attention and fuss! She is not overly energetic and does well with one moderate walk a day (30-45 mins) but will also tag along for a longer hike (albeit she’ll sleep for hours afterwards). She loves her sleep and would spend a large part of her day napping in cosy spots throughout the house.

Anca was adopted from Romania in 2020 when she was 6 months old. Upon arrival in the UK, she displayed some behavioural issues such as aggression towards other dogs and people, and resource guarding. From March 2021 through to May 2022, she has worked with a behaviourist.  This, in combination with getting her spayed and moving to a house with a large enclosed garden, significantly improved her issues and she can now interact with people with no issues and some dogs (she’s unsure of smaller breeds or really big breeds, but has a real soft spot for labs and spaniels). She no longer resource guards at all and has not done so for over 3 years.

She is easily spooked however, and has even scared herself in the past with her reflection in the glass doors. She does not have any separation anxiety, is toilet trained and can be left for long periods on her own. She is also crate trained.

She has a high prey drive so can not live with cats.

Anca could live with older children but they would have to be calm, and dog savvy. She loves a car journey and exploring new places.

A large enclosed garden is a must as in the summer she likes to spend most of her time outside sunbathing.
