Charlie

“As a family of dog lovers, and having rehomed a dog through DAWGS before, we were privileged and humbled to be given the opportunity to give the amazing Charlie a forever home in August 2022 to enjoy his well-earned retirement after many years as a working dog.

Charlie is truly a force of nature, despite his 12 years of age. He’s always on the go, always with his tongue out and tail wagging. He makes friends with everyone he meets, no one is ever left out when Charlie is around, unless he spots a ball or a toy of course!

Every day is a happy adventure – so many hours and moments of fun times, long walks and happiness. Already, it is as if Charlie has been with us our whole life.

When we are asked by family and friends why we re-home older dogs, knowing it may only be for a short time, we always say the same thing and that is that we have so much love and warmth to give, a happy home where they can have even more happy times and be loved even more.

Charlie has changed our lives for the better and we hope that we have changed his.
