Gaynor Went The Extra Mile & More For DAWGS

Posted: April 26, 2017

We have just heard back from Gaynor Morris.

She had a fantastic day and completed the London Marathon  on the 23rd April in 4 hours, 49 minutes and 44 seconds. There were over 39,000 runners and  she came  came 25,478th  – running  the whole way. Her husband and son were there to cheer her on – her son had a T Shirt printed with ‘Run Mum Run’ to surprise her.

Gaynor passed on a lovely message to us:

“I never forgot during the race that I was there to raise funds for DAWGS (Dog Action Working Group Scotland) and I’m elated to report that the figure is now in excess of £1800 (from my JustGiving page, gift aid and cash sponsorship).  That really is the icing on the cake for me – to help make a contribution to such a worthy charity. ”
She continued:

“I would like to thank my employers, John and Lynda Innes, from Bankhead Kennels for all the support they have given me,Duncan at Peters who produced my bright, eye-catching running tops and my thanks go out to Janine at DAWGS who has done everything she can to highlight my fundraising to all those connected with DAWGS. Last, but by no means least, I want to thank each and every person who has sponsored me.  I’ve been quite overwhelmed by their generosity and also by the lovely comments left on my Just Giving page.  Thank you.”
Thank you Gaynor for your amazing support and congratulations on your amazing success.
